Soft Wind is actually the name of a series of new work that I created a few weeks before 70 per miles wind gusts, lightening, thunder and 20 inches plus snow descended on the Chicago area February 1-2. It was a feast for the eyes if you were inside and cozy – not stuck on Lake Shore Drive all night.

Now on to Soft Wind, the art. The emphasis in this digital collage is on the abstract paintings of sage and teal blue scanned into the computer. The photographic layers are of an unusual thin cactus which creates line patterns and textures. The final work felt like a soft wind to me.
