Change of Season Inspires New Art

As we retreated indoors during the Chicago winter season, I was inspired with the idea of creating a series of images based on our view of nature from the inside. I blended my own painting and photography in order to create a digital collage. I then collaged and manipulated shadows of blinds on the walls, trees, clouds, and scanned  painted canvases. These layers were then integrated with regard to color, line and rhythm. I also employed the ambiguity of the horizontal landscape format with the interior space of views from windows.
